Maine Street Summit

Privacy Policy

How we handle your information

Effective October 21, 2026

The Maine Street Summit is a free virtual event for small business owners, hosted in Maine and open to everyone, presented by Main Street Marketing and Julia Michelle Agency. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us.

In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Main Street Marketing LLC, which runs this website and summit registration. “You” means anyone who visits this website or registers for the summit.

Information we collect

  • When you register: your first name, email address, and business name. You can also share your website, your biggest business challenge, and whether you’d like to hear how Main Street Marketing could improve your website.
  • When you share the summit: which share option you used on the thank-you page, linked to your registration. Your personal share link contains a short code, never your name or email, and is also included in your summit emails.
  • When you arrive through a share link: if you register through another attendee’s link, we record whose link it was so we can give them their bonus giveaway entry.
  • Collected automatically: our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. We use it to keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.

How we use your information

  • To register you for the summit and send your confirmation, watch link, and reminders.
  • To run the website makeover giveaway: counting entries, adding bonus entries, holding the drawing, and contacting the winner. See the Official Rules.
  • If you tick the website box on the registration form, so Main Street Marketing can follow up about your website.
  • To understand how people hear about the summit, including who shared it.
  • To protect this website from fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run the summit, and only as needed for them to do that work:

  • Supabase stores your registration, share activity, and giveaway entries.
  • Vercel hosts this website.
  • Kit sends summit emails.
  • Google Fonts provides the fonts on this website, so your browser requests them from Google.

If you win the giveaway, we share your name, business name, and email address with Julia Michelle Agency so they can schedule your brand voice session.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

Emails from us

Registering signs you up for summit emails: your confirmation, watch link, reminders, and follow-up resources after the event. It doesn’t sign you up for sales emails. If you tick the website box, Main Street Marketing may also contact you about your website. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Your browser

We don’t use cookies. This site uses your browser’s storage for a few conveniences: remembering your first name, email, and share code during your visit so the thank-you page can greet you and build your share link, remembering that you’ve shared, and remembering whose share link brought you here. This information stays in your browser. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep registration and giveaway records for up to 24 months after the summit, or until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that’s wrong.
  • Delete your information, unless we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
  • Stop sending you emails.

To make a request, email darrell@mainstreetmarketing.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, and you won’t be treated differently for using them.

Security

We use reputable providers, secure (HTTPS) connections, and limited access to your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.

Children

The summit is for business owners. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
